SURF CRAFTTRANSPORT

How it works

From enquiry to handover.

A simple, personal process. You tell us what you’re moving and where; we confirm the details with you before anything is collected.

The process

Four steps.

  1. Step 1

    Request a quote

Tell us the craft type, pickup location, delivery destination and your preferred timeframe. It only takes a few minutes.

    • Craft type and approximate length
    • Pickup and delivery suburbs
    • Preferred timing
  2. Step 2

    Confirm the details

Surf Craft Transport reviews your enquiry and confirms pricing, logistics, collection arrangements and insurance details with you directly.

    • Pricing confirmed personally
    • Collection arrangements
    • Insurance details and conditions
  3. Step 3

    Collection & transport

Your craft is collected and transported using suitable equipment and handling arrangements for its type and size.

    • Collection as arranged
    • Equipment suited to the craft
    • Secured for the journey
  4. Step 4

    Delivery

You receive communication and delivery updates by phone or SMS, with final handover arrangements confirmed before arrival.

    • Phone and SMS updates
    • Handover arrangements confirmed
    • Delivered to the agreed location
Please note: we don’t provide instant online pricing or guaranteed dates. Every enquiry is reviewed personally so pricing, timing, collection arrangements and insurance details can be confirmed accurately for your craft and route.

Suitable equipment, careful handling.

Craft are collected and transported using equipment and handling arrangements suited to their type and size: wrapped, supported and secured for the distance.

Care & communication

Specialist transport, personally arranged.

A craft that’s been on your wishlist for months, or one your club relies on every weekend, deserves more than a general freight booking.

Insurance available

Transport insurance is available for craft we carry. Insurance details and conditions are confirmed with you during the quote process.

Personal communication

You deal directly with the person running the business, from your first enquiry through to delivery.

Phone & SMS updates

We keep you informed by phone call or SMS as your craft makes its way to you.

Tailored arrangements

Transport is arranged around your craft type, size and destination, rather than a one-size-fits-all freight process.

We don’t offer live GPS tracking. Instead you’ll hear from us directly by phone or SMS. Insurance details and conditions, pricing and timing are always confirmed with you during the quote process.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Where something isn’t covered here, it’s discussed with you during quoting.

What types of craft can you transport?

Surf skis, kayaks, canoes, K1 and K2 racing kayaks, outriggers, stand up paddleboards, surfboards, surf life saving skis and rescue boards, fishing kayaks, and single or double craft. Suitability for oversized or specialised craft is confirmed during the quote process.

Which areas of Australia do you service?

Our network runs from the Sunshine Coast through Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Byron Bay, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Newcastle and the Central Coast, Sydney, the NSW South Coast and the Canberra region, Melbourne and Geelong, to the Surf Coast. We can also collect from and deliver to many towns along these routes, subject to transport arrangements.

Can you transport a surf ski from Queensland to Victoria?

Yes, that's exactly the type of interstate move we handle. Send us the pickup and delivery locations and your preferred timeframe, and we'll confirm the arrangements and price with you.

Do you transport second-hand craft purchased from private sellers?

Yes. We can collect a second-hand craft from a private seller and deliver it to the buyer. Collection and handover arrangements are confirmed with both parties when we arrange the transport.

Can you collect from a surf lifesaving club or retailer?

Yes. Let us know the club or business name in your enquiry so we can coordinate collection times and access with them.

How do I request a quote?

Use our online quote form or call 0419 123 773. Include the craft type, approximate length, pickup and delivery locations and your preferred timing. We'll review the details and get back to you personally. Prices are confirmed by us rather than calculated instantly online.

How far in advance should I enquire?

As early as you can. Our routes are coordinated around customer enquiries rather than a fixed weekly timetable, so more notice gives us more flexibility to fit your craft into an upcoming trip. Timing is confirmed when we quote.

Will I receive delivery updates?

Yes. We keep you updated by phone call or SMS, and final handover arrangements are confirmed with you before delivery.

Is my craft insured during transport?

Yes. Surf Craft Transport is fully insured, and a certificate of currency is available on request. Ask us about cover for your craft when you enquire.

Can you transport multiple craft together?

Yes. Tell us how many craft you have and what they are in the quote form, and we'll discuss the arrangements for moving them together.
